Let’s talk toys, especially if it involves Star Wars Toys. I’ve been a collector of toys in general for most of my life. I enjoy sharing my hobby with others. You never know what you’ll find when you network with other collectors!
Star Wars Lego – Endor Battle Playset
This is a review of the upcoming Star Wars Lego Endor Battle Playset. Currently, this playset is scheduled to be released in October 2009. However, the release is a little bit late and pre-orders are still being taken. Check with your favorite toy provider for the latest details.
The Endor battle occurred in Star Wars Episode VI – Return of The Jedi. It’s personally one of my favorite scenes. I especially like the AT-ST walkers and of course, the Ewoks. On the forest Moon of Endor, we were introduced to a world that was Earth-like with its majestic forests and landscape. This Lego set captures that part of the movie by including the major characters and props into one collection.
I call this an “all-in-one” set because of all the pieces that are included. There are 887 pieces in total: Included are the Imperial Bunker, AT-ST scout walker that has walking action, a firing catapult, Ewok glider, 2 speeder bikes and 12 figures (Han Solo, Princess Leia, Chewbacca, R2-D2, 3 Ewoks, 2 scout troopers, 1 death star trooper and 2 rebel commandos.
From what I’ve been hearing about this set, it will probably be a fast sell-out, especially since the Christmas season is close. It’s also Lego’s 10th year anniversary for the Lego Star Wars series.
I’ve collected Star Wars toys for many years and adding this set will definitely be on my list of toys to purchase this year. I have a preference for toys based around the original trilogy of movies and this one is no exception.
